Dr. Linda Sonna, Instructor

The belief that English speakers must master thousands of Spanish vocabulary words and grammar rules in order to speak and read Spanish deters too many expats from forming relationships with Mexicans. In this workshop, English speakers will learn
  • How to use psycholinguistics to speak and read Spanish without mastering complex grammar rules.
  • How to utilize the estimated 45,000 words that sound alike in Spanish and English in order to discuss art, science, history, economics, philosophy, and other technical subjects in Spanish.
  • How to enhance nonverbal communication with Spanish speakers.

Linda Sonna, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist with Health Service Provider in the State of Texas, Professor of Multicultural Counseling at Yorkville University, the author of 10 books, and the developer of Communicative Spanish (a method of Spanish instruction for older learners).
